The Council brings a diverse range of expertise across research, business and finance. The council provides governance and evaluates the Institute's perfomance. In the order presented, council consists of four elected or council appointed members as well as a representative from each of the University of Adelaide, Women's and Children's Health Network and Board, Department of Health and Flinders Medical Centre.
